The 2020 PTA Science Fair is tentatively scheduled for the beginning of April 2020. in the gymnasium at PVS School.  The evening Science Fair will be on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., come and enjoy all of the student projects as well as a science demonstration.

The Science Fair is open to all 4th, 5th & 6th grade students.

The Science Fair will give students the opportunity to explore beyond the classroom to understand more about their world. Investigating a selected science topic in detail can open up new vistas and spark appreciation for not only this planet but also, worlds beyond.

What is a Science Fair Project:  A Science Fair project is a presentation of an experiment, a demonstration, a research effort, a collection of scientific items or a display of scientific apparatus.  It represents the efforts of a student's investigation into some area of interest and provides a way for the student to demonstrate the results of those investigations. The Science Fair will give each student the opportunity to be the presenter; as well as, a spectator.

Tips to help choose a Science Project Topic:  Choose a topic that you find interesting, we emphasize and highly recommend exploring the potential of Science Units studied in class.  You may even choose your hobbies for an idea.  Do you have a collection of rocks or shells or coins or stamps?  Are you interested in gardening, music, computers, sports, etc.?  If so, then these might be interesting to study in a scientific way.  Science news reported in the media can be a source for ideas.  DARE TO EXPLORE!
